- Ich verwende Linux Mint 16 (Petra)
- Ich verwende den Standardtreiber nvidia-319, der mit der Distribution geliefert wird
- Ich habe 2x GTX480-Karten
- Ich habe 3 Monitore
- Mit dem Nvidia-Treiber werden alle Monitore und GPUs vom proprietären Dienstprogramm erfasst.
Ähnlich wie im Bericht unter https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/719768/linux/304-121-ubuntu-14-04-xrandr-1-4-multi-gpu-not-being-detected / Wenn ich xrandr --listproviders starte, wird mir nur ein einziger Provider angezeigt - die erste Karte. Ich habe xrandr 1.4, sollte also beide sehen können. Wenn ich einen separaten X-Bildschirm einrichte und dann xrandr --listproviders --screen 1 ausführe, kann ich die zweite Karte sehen. Ich möchte jedoch nicht mehrere X-Bildschirme. Ich möchte nahtlos zwischen Monitoren wechseln können.
Ich möchte Xinerama nicht ausführen, da es ein Schmerz im Nacken ist, es einzurichten, und von Xrandr abgelöst werden sollte.
Mit dem Nouveau-Treiber kann ich alle drei Bildschirme genau so verwenden, wie ich möchte, aber die Leistung ist nicht gut.
Ich habe also ein paar Fragen:
1.) Ist dieses Verhalten beabsichtigt oder ein Fehler? Ich stelle unter http://uk.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/319.12/README/randr14.html fest, dass der Treiber nur die Quellausgabefunktion unterstützt. Würde mich das davon abhalten, nur zwei verschiedene Kartenanbieter in xrandr zu sehen?
2.) Wenn Ersteres zutrifft, gibt es eine Möglichkeit, dies zu umgehen?
3.) Ich habe mit verschiedenen Basemosaik-Optionen herumgespielt, ohne Erfolg

Martin: Sehr ähnliches Setup für mich, außer mit einem Paar NVIDIA GT9800 - circa 2008!. Auch ein integrierter Intel HD4000 (im BIOS deaktiviert). xrandr zeigte nur 1 gpu, obwohl alle anderen sys-bezogenen Tools beide ordnungsgemäß meldeten. Ubuntu 14.04 lts Beta 2, NVIDIA 331.28 proprietär
Der Heilig-Gral-Fix für mich letzte Nacht war: Basismosaik! Leeren Sie die xorg.conf-, nvidia x-Servereinstellungen-> Basismosaik aktivieren und aktivieren Sie dann jede erkannte Anzeige. Es funktioniert einfach alles! Schnelle, scheinbare Multi-GPU-, Multi-Head-Multi-Monitor-Einrichtung mit 1 xscreen! Meine 3 Displays haben unterschiedliche Auflösungen und eines ist im Hochformat gedreht. Sogar die Ubuntu-Einstellungen - Zeigt alle 3 Monitore korrekt an.
Ich schlage vor, ein Upgrade auf die proprietären Treiber von nvidia 331.28 durchzuführen, Ihre xorg.conf auszublasen und Base Mosaic erneut zu versuchen.
