Entfernen der Gravatar.com-Unterstützung für WordPress und einfache lokale Avatare

Derzeit verwende ich einfache lokale Avatare in mehreren meiner Blogs, damit Benutzer ihren eigenen benutzerdefinierten Avatar hochladen können.

Soweit ich weiß get_avatar, überprüft Simple Local Avatars , ob ein benutzerdefinierter Avatar ausgewählt ist, wenn nicht standardmäßig Gravatar.com.

Wäre es möglich, das Gravatar.com-Bit irgendwie zu deaktivieren, Gravatar.com vollständig zu deaktivieren und nur ein lokal gehostetes Bild zurückzugeben, wenn kein benutzerdefinierter Avatar ausgewählt ist?
