Drop Marker und MarkerClusterer zusammen verwenden?

Ich möchte eine visuell ansprechende Darstellung von Zeitreihendaten erstellen (Costco Store Locations mit Eröffnungsdaten).

Meine Idee war es, sie in Zeitreihen auf einer Karte zu zeichnen, aber es scheint, dass die Anzahl der Markierungen auf der Karte das Bild, das ich präsentieren möchte, beeinträchtigt.

Beim Erstellen der Karte in Google Maps API v3 konnte ich DIESES weit bringen.

Ich möchte in der Lage sein, die Markierungen zu gruppieren, wenn sie auf die Karte fallen. Das heißt, die Cluster würden dynamisch wachsen, wenn die Markierungen auf der Karte herunterfallen.
